Dear Neighbour:
I would like to start off by welcoming the Weston residents to the St. James-Brooklands ward. The change was made by the Ward Boundary Commission in December 2009. We are excited to include them into our area!
Since being elected in 2006 I have focused on and supported issues on crime, infrastructure, our community organizations and facilities. We are making our community safer by putting more police on the street, 50 new cadets to help assist police, and a police helicopter to monitor and assist in fighting crime, but there is definitely more work to be done.
There are many infrastructure projects occurring in St. James-Brooklands over the next year. A new facility will be built for the amalgamation of Silver Heights and Sturgeon Creek Community Centres. Two new splash pads and many upgrades to our parks, playgrounds, pool facilities, and eight km's of trails throughout the area will enhance quality of life.
I am pleased with these accomplishments and sincerely thank you for putting your trust in me. I thank you for your support and look foward to speaking with you.
